Is this another of your jokes or do you really find Buckley affable? For my part, I'd grant that he has an uncommonly euphonious voice and could often be rogueishly charming, but the rumors of his intellect are *greatly* exaggerated.

It's unfortunate for Buckley that he takes so long to say so little, which is then so easily shown wrong with the first example out of Chomsky's mouth. Chomsky seems to be tutoring him via staccato mini-lectures in history, economics, and logic.

Buckley's knowledge of Greek history is surprisingly bad. Communist insurgency in the early 1940s before the Nazis? Either he's ignorant or he figures his audience is.
